In the month of June, enjoy a wonderful week at the Bastide where physical and mental relaxation go hand in hand with creative effort. Unleash the writer in you! In an enviable place in the south of France where Monique lets your creativity flow naturally and hostess Anita pampers you culinary.

 

Who writes stays. Yet the course only lasts a week. We will work together with pen and paper at two times every day. The first time in the morning, after breakfast together. Then you are free until lunch and you can, for example, curl up in the hammock with a good book, cool off in the swimming pool or explore the area. Lunch is also shared again, after which you have plenty of time for yourself. In the afternoon we will write again for 2 hours. In the evening you can do what you want again. In this week we will have a joint dinner twice, provided by our hostess Anita. Halfway through the week, everyone has a whole day free to spend.

 

The writing course is given by Monique van Empel. As a journalist and copywriter, she has been writing for about 30 years for various magazines: from lifestyle magazines and glossies to trade journals. Monique specializes in living & design and also writes about lifestyle, fashion, jewelry, culinary and all the other things that make life so fun and delicious.

'I find it a challenge to get people to write. It's not about that first sentence. Forget that one and start with the second sentence in complete freedom. Whether you just enjoy writing, would like to write a story or a poem, need text for your business website, want to blog, keep a diary, write travelogues, write a song or a 'difficult' letter for a dear..... I'm happy to help you forward. With tips, exercises and inspiration. Starting with A and ending with Z. Writing is fun and you can learn, but above all it is a matter of DOING! Will we see each other in sunny France at the end of June?'

 

You will spend the whole week at the Bastide, in one of the beautiful, themed guest rooms. All prices are based on a shared double room and the available bathrooms are also shared. Owner of the Bastide, Anita Hageman, will be ready for you this week to make your stay completely enjoyable and also provides delicious healthy meals with fresh local products.

  

COST                   

698.00 Euro including the 5-day Creative Writing course at 2 hours twice a day. 7 nights with breakfast, 5 lunches and 2 dinners.

ROOMS                   

The prices are based on a shared room and sharing the bathrooms.

 

TRANSPORT                

With your own transport, the distance from Utrecht is approximately 1300 km.

Several low-cost airlines such as Ryanair and Transavia fly from Amsterdam, Eindhoven and Brussels to Marseille and Nice. Then it is another 1 hour drive to our Bastide.

Cheap cars can be rented at every airport . By train is also an option, the nearest station is 15 minutes away.

 

TABLES D'HOTES    

The stay includes breakfast, lunch and a welcome and farewell dinner. For other meals, there are many excellent restaurants in all price ranges in the village and surroundings.

 

The workshop will take place with a minimum of 4 participants!
